Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to meet their needs promptly
  • Assist shoppers with product information, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities to enhance their experience
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
  • Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and stock replenishment to maximize sales potential
  • Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging informed purchasing decisions
  • Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and conducting regular stock checks
  • Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely

Skills

  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate transactions
  • Previous supervising or leadership experience is a plus for guiding team members or training new staff
  • Ability to perform product demonstrations confidently and clearly communicate product features
  • Bilingual skills to serve diverse customer bases effectively are highly valued
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments enhances adaptability
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members alike
