You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How You Will Contribute
You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

Education / Certifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Building maintenance experience.
  • A good working knowledge of both written and oral English, as some documentation and report writing is required.
  • Basic knowledge of Ontario Building code as applied to Industrial establishments.
  • Knowledge and demonstrable ability to safely operate power tools and equipment.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Computer literacy and ability to open and close work orders.
  • A good work and attendance record.
  • Must be physically fit as lifting and bending is involved.

Job specific requirements:
The successful applicant will be responsible for building and repairs (including floors, ceilings and walls).

Duties include:

  • Carpentry repairs, fabrication and installations.
  • Drywall – repairs and new installations.
  • Floor repairs – must be conversant with a variety of flooring materials including wood, epoxy resin, vinyl coverings, concrete.
  • Occasional small painting jobs.
  • Doors/windows, repairs and installations including but not limited to frames, hinges, handles, locks, glass/lexan.
  • Moving heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
  • Working from ladders at heights.
  • Cutting, shaping and finishing of a variety of building materials including but not limited to lexan, UHMW, polypropelyne, wood metal and other plastics.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance to food safety and HACCP principles for your respective area and other duties as assigned.
