Duties & Responsibilities- Greet all visitors and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Conduct wellness checks with all employees, contractors, and visitors according to company procedures.
- Monitor, enforce, and regularly update workplace safety policies and procedures to maintain a high level of health and safety performance.
- Identify and report health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage at the workplace.
- Compile and distribute information/data pertaining to reported incidents; accurately prepare other applicable correspondence, documents, and reports as needed.
- Compile man-hours and number of people on-site in compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies.
- Implement the claims management process.
- Assist the Health & Safety Coordinator as required.
- Respond to emergencies and administer competent first aid.
- Implementation of defined health standards at mine sites, including drug and alcohol programs.
- Participate in drug and alcohol program as a collector.
- Ensure site security as mandated by country, provincial, state, and/or local regulatory codes, including but not limited to controlling access and egress to properties by employees, contractors, and others; monitoring all security breaches.
- Willing to obtain a mine rescue certificate and participate in mine rescue activities.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Minimum three years' experience in first aid experience, with OFA Level 3 Certification.
- Valid OFA Level 3 Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Previous experience in the mining industry or an industrial setting is an asset.
- Valid BC Mine Rescue Certificate is also considered an asset.
- Must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts; on a 7x7 rotation.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Proven safety and attendance record.
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively in emergent, high-stress situations.
- Above average computer skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets and databases.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Committed to high standards in health and safety performance.
- Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, good judgment, and discretion, with a strong emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills, able to manage tasks independently.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, trainees, and leadership.

Specifically for the Health and Safety Administrator role, we offer an annual base salary range of $55, $70,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses, including a monthly efficiency bonuses based on safety and production targets, and quarterly retention bonuses.
