Position: Network Engineer

Sebenza LLC, is a leading IT consulting firm working with a firm, based in Montreal, QC, Canada. We provide innovative solutions and services to a diverse range of clients across various industries. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients' network infrastructure. You will work closely with our clients to understand their network requirements and provide customized solutions to meet their business needs. This role requires a strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for clients
  • Work closely with clients to understand their network requirements and provide customized solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues
  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability
  • Implement and maintain network security measures
  • Perform network upgrades and updates as needed
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with other systems
  • Document network configurations and changes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in networking technologies
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
  • Experience with network design and implementation, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
  • Experience with network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is an asset
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Industry certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.) are preferred
