Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator specializing in HVAC to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, knowledge of commercial construction, and a desire to learn and grow in the role. Experience in mechanical estimating would be a benefit, but is not strictly necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize software tools such as AutoBid and Bluebeam to design and price HVAC projects.
  • Engage in discussions with clients, suppliers and consultants regarding designs, drawings and pricing options.
  • Provide accurate construction estimating for HVAC installations.
  • Collaborate with our HVAC installations crews to review costs, installation methods, etc. with the goals of improving our estimating.

Skills

  • A general ability to utilize technology is a must, with experience in Bluebeam, AutoBid and AutoCAD being major assets.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively manage client, consultant and supplier
  • Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installations and repairs.
  • Ability to provide precise pricing estimates based on project requirements and materials needed.
