Canada Viral Nation Inc. Full time

Position Overview:

We're looking for a Director of Global Talent Acquisition to lead and execute the recruitment function at Viral Nation for a one-year maternity leave coverage. This is a true player-coach role that combines hands-on recruiting for critical positions with leadership and mentorship of the talent acquisition team.

Partnering closely with hiring managers and senior leaders, this role drives hiring across our Marketing, Talent, and Technology teams. In addition to owning full-cycle recruitment for high-impact positions, the Director is accountable for team performance, recruiting metrics, and consistent delivery against hiring goals, while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.

The ideal candidate brings experience recruiting in a fast-paced marketing or creative services environment and is comfortable balancing day-to-day execution with strategic leadership. You are results-driven, collaborative, and thrive in environments where priorities move quickly, and expectations are high.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with senior leadership to deeply understand business objectives, growth plans, and evolving talent needs, translating them into actionable recruitment strategies.
  • End-to-End Recruitment: Collaborate with hiring managers across the organization to oversee the full lifecycle recruitment process for critical, senior, and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire the talent acquisition team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving continuous improvement.
  • Data-Driven Impact: Track and optimize recruitment performance through key metrics, including time-to-fill, hiring manager satisfaction, candidate experience, and talent pipeline health, ensuring measurable business impact.
  • Market Intelligence & Advisory: Provide actionable insights on hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and emerging roles within the marketing and advertising landscape to inform strategic talent decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of eight years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including leadership responsibility, within a fast-paced, high-growth recruitment environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing recruiting teams, accountable for team metrics and delivery against hiring goals.
  • Experience leading end-to-end recruitment processes for positions within client services, creator marketing, creative and broader digital advertising disciplines.
  • Prior experience owning senior leadership search processes, partnering closely with C-suite and senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and hiring managers to develop scalable hiring strategies aligned with business growth.
  • Strong proficiency with recruitment technologies and data-driven hiring practices, including LinkedIn Recruiter and Applicant Tracking Systems (Greenhouse preferred, not required.)
  • Deep understanding of talent acquisition best practices and industry trends.

This role has an annual salary range of CAD $140,000 to $180,000.

This range reflects the full scope and progression of the role, from building capability to operating with sustained impact at a higher level. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits and total rewards package designed to support our team as they grow with us.

Where an offer falls within this range is determined through the interview process. Candidates are benchmarked by the hiring team based on role scope, relevant experience, skill alignment, and expected impact, using consistent and objective criteria.
