Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and personnel, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role demands a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to support our operational needs.

Duties

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and personnel to various locations
  • Utilize forklifts and other heavy equipment to load and unload cargo efficiently
  • Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle reliability
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities
  • Assist with loading, securing, and unloading freight to prevent damage during transit
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members regarding schedules, delivery status, and any operational concerns

Skills & Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience
  • Verifiable experience letter for 2 years through insurance
  • Driver's abstract from all provinces where the applicant has held a license
  • Clean driving record with a focus on safety and responsibility
  • Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and repair is an asset
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures related to commercial driving and equipment operation
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including safely lifting and securing heavy loads
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members, dispatchers, and clients
