Position Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business and supporting existing customer relationships within Absolute Tool technologies Inc. This role manages the sales cycle from identifying opportunities and responding to RFQs, to quoting support, customer communication, and internal coordination to ensure successful program execution.
This customer-facing role requires strong communication skills, a solid technical understanding, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and respond to RFQs
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, plant visits, and relationship building.
· Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through ongoing support, follow-ups, and proactive problem solving.
· Provide customers with technical support
· Prepare and deliver professional proposals, presentations, and customer communications.
· Collaborate with Estimating, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations to ensure accurate quoting and realistic timelines.
· Track and maintain sales activity
· Support customer program timing and communication to ensure smooth transitions from quote to production.
· Participate in internal meetings to ensure clear handoff of customer expectations and tooling requirements.
· Stay informed on automotive market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
Qualifications & Requirements
· 3+ years' experience in sales, account management, or business development (manufacturing environment preferred).
· Strong understanding of the automotive industry (OEM/Tier supplier expectations and program timelines).
· Ability to interpret customer requirements, drawings, and technical documentation
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail—able to manage multiple RFQs and deadlines.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly.
· Professional written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Valid driver's license, Passport, and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in tooling, mold manufacturing, automation, machining, or related automotive manufacturing services.
· Established network within OEMs or Tier suppliers.
· Knowledge of the tool build process and program launch requirements.
