Business Analyst - Project Controls:
On behalf of our energy client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst - Project Controls for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client's Edmonton office. There will also be occasional travel within Alberta for onsite visits.

Business Analyst - Project Controls - Job Description:
The Business Analyst - Project Controls will be engaged in our client's pipeline project, focusing on delivering IT solutions in an agile environment. The role plays a pivotal role in translating stakeholder needs into sprint-aligned deliverables and ensuring requirements are well-documented and traced throughout the project lifecycle.

Business Analyst - Project Controls - Responsibilities:

  • Act as the delivery BA, ensuring full alignment to both business needs and technical constraints.
  • Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and walkthroughs with subject matter experts, IT teams, and vendors.
  • Identify constraints and dependencies across systems and business activities.
  • Break down high-level business needs into epics and user stories with acceptance criteria that can be prioritized and delivered iteratively.
  • Contribute to and comply with the organization's evolving BA governance standards.
  • Collaborate with third-party to map business needs to existing features.
  • Support Agile ceremonies, working closely with subject matter experts and technical teams.
  • Assist the organizational change management team with training, documentation, and communication.

Business Analyst - Project Controls - Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum 6+ years of Business Analysis experience across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Experience delivering Hexagon Ecosys or similar for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in delivering IT projects.
  • IT Solution as a Service (ITaaS) and/or Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Agile methodology.
  • Process modeling (BPMN 2.0).
  • BRD development and RTM management in JIRA.

Business Analyst - Project Controls – Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity as a user with iGrafx.
  • Familiarity with implementation or use of Procore, Primavera P6, and/or Vintri.

Business Analyst - Project Controls – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension.

ASAP.

Business Analyst - Project Controls - Assignment Location:
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
