Overview
The organization seeks experienced
Clinical Business Analysts (CBAs)
to support the ongoing implementation and standardization of content for
Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Services
within an enterprise-wide
Clinical Information System (CIS)
. The selected resources will collaborate with clinical and technical teams to define, analyze, document, and validate requirements and workflows that support consistent clinical practice across the health system.
Role Summary
The Clinical Business Analyst will play a critical role in:
- Gathering and documenting clinical and business requirements.
- Supporting the design, testing, and validation of clinical content within the CIS.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement and workshops with clinicians and operational leaders.
- Ensuring that workflows, documentation templates, and order sets align with best practices and meet operational and clinical needs.
The position is full-time and remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a detailed review of existing business and system requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical experts to refine and standardize clinical content, processes, and documentation templates.
- Facilitate workshops to identify new requirements and perform gap analyses.
- Develop and maintain detailed process maps, workflow documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Analyze and recommend solutions to improve clinical efficiency and compliance.
- Build, validate, and test clinical content within the CIS.
- Prepare and execute communication and adoption plans to support implementation.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy and data-protection standards.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum
five (5) years
as a Business Analyst or Clinical Informatics professional specializing in Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Services. - Experience with
Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Clinical Information Systems (CIS)
in a healthcare environment. - Minimum
three (3) years
supporting CIS implementation projects, including workflow design, requirement gathering, and testing.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Minimum 6+ years as a Clinical Business Analyst in Medical Imaging, Laboratory, or Diagnostic Services.
- Experience in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, process design, and business analysis documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French (bilingual preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years leading workshops to define business requirements, user stories, and use cases.
- Minimum 5+ years collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and working independently with minimal supervision.
- Minimum 5+ years managing multiple concurrent projects or activities.
- Minimum 5+ years using Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams).
- Minimum 2+ years using Atlassian Jira for project tracking and documentation.
- Experience working within public health authorities or equivalent healthcare environments.
Deliverables
- Validated and updated requirement and gap analysis documentation.
- Workshop materials, stakeholder summaries, and recommendations.
- Process and solution design documentation, including workflows and user guides.
- Build, test, and validation reports for clinical content.
- Implementation support and communication artifacts.
