Produce Team Leader
The Produce Team Leader is responsible for helping lead the team through living and promoting our five Core Values as well as maintaining the day-to-day operations within the department. This is an chance to collaborate and work closely with our Produce Department Manager to learn and grow in all areas of this dynamic department. Flexibility and adaptability are the keys to success.
As part of our produce team, you are passionate about what helped get us started as a company – local and organic produce This is an area that we are deeply rooted in and only offer 100% certified organic produce in our stores. As part of this role, you like helping others choose products that work best for their menu and giving some background on what farm their produce came from. This role also ensures our displays are looking full and amazing with our colourful selection of fruits & vegetables.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A passion for organic food and natural living and love of the retail and grocery industryExcellent communication skillsOutstanding interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to set the standards for customer service in the Produce departmentStrong problem solving, and decision-making skillsAn eye for merchandising and the ability to assist in managing inventoryMotivated by fast-paced environmentAbility and desire to lead by example and create a positive, supportive working environmentDesire to motivate and train team membersMinimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisor roleAbility to lift up to 50lbsStrong organizational skills Able to delegate and direct the work of others while working as a teamKnowledge of the retail environmentWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Working with the Produce Manager to ensure effective communication throughout the day on department prioritiesSet daily priorities and pace for the teamCoaches team members and helps drives selling and promotion within the department throughout the daySupport the Produce Manager by actively working to meet operational standardsTrain and promote the standard of Customer Service expected by all produce employeesChecklists are your jam You create and complete them with ease with the assistance of the department team membersEnsures team training on produce itemsProvides regular coaching and guidanceAdopts and encourages a positive environmentAssists with recording, monitoring, and reporting spillagePERKS:
