GPM Music Group is a fast-growing music marketing startup based in Calgary. We work with artists across all genres, helping them grow through playlist marketing, paid ads, influencer campaigns, and creative content. Right now, we're a small but highly focused team and we're scaling quickly. Our goal is to grow our team with loyal and likeminded individuals and build one of the most respected music marketing companies in the space.
The Role
We're looking for a marketing coordinator who loves music of all genres, understands digital marketing, and is excited to work directly with artists, managing playlists and ads campaigns every day. You'll be hands-on across playlist marketing, fulfillment, client interactions, and working on custom marketing campaigns, playing a key role in the day-to-day execution of our marketing systems. This is a high-impact role with potential to grow into a Marketing Manager position. This role is for someone who wants to get in early, learn, and grow into a leadership position as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
Playlist Marketing, Organization, Curation and Fulfillment
- Launching and curating new Spotify playlists
- Launching and monitoring playlist ads in Meta ads manager
- Creating new ad creatives in CapCut or other relevant video editing software
- Working closely with our team of in-house editors via Slack
- Monitoring playlist performance, maintaining playlist performance tracking, and scaling what works
- Curating song placements from artists in our network of playlists
- Manually organizing playlist track orders when needed
- Managing and fulfilling anime edit campaign orders and other orders
Customer Support & Community
- Working closely with our customer support rep via Slack
- Updating orders and handling customer inquiries
- Answering Instagram DMs
- Engaging with new Instagram/Facebook followers and reaching out to people interacting with our ads
- Nurturing relationships, answering questions, and guiding artists toward the use of our services
1-on-1 Artist Marketing Campaigns
- Working directly with artists, managers, and label representatives on custom, 1-on-1 marketing campaigns
- Assisting with the planning, execution, and optimization of end-to-end artist campaigns, including paid Meta ads driving directly to songs, custom playlist strategies and placements, and influencer and creator campaigns
- Coordinating campaign fulfillment across internal systems and external partners
- Communicating updates, timelines, and results to artists and their teams
- Helping refine campaign strategies based on performance data and artist goals
Who We're Looking For
- Someone who lives and breathes music across all genres
- Strong organizational skills and very strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment
- Interested in music marketing, playlisting, A&R, and artist growth
- Deeply in tune with current pop culture, music trends, internet culture, and what's happening right now across social platforms
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting quickly in an early-stage startup environment
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- Business degree, marketing degree, or a degree in a related music business or music industry program
- Experience with Meta ads manager
- Experience with Capcut or a similar video editing software
- Experience working with artists or marketing platforms
Growth Opportunity
This is not a static role. As GPM Music Group grows, this position is designed to evolve into a Marketing Manager role, leading systems, campaigns, and a team of marketing coordinators.

Compensation & Work Structure
