Board Operator, TSN 1200, Bell media, Non-mgmt

Job Status:

Key Responsibilities

• Technically operate a soundboard for various live and pre-taped/network talk radio programs
• Edit audio for talk show
• Set up and execute remote broadcasts
• Play commercials/promos/talk show elements
• Screen phone calls for live talk programs as needed
• Upload audio to websites/podcasts along with written description
• Edit talk show programs for playback
• Other duties as assigned

Critical Qualifications

• Minimum one year of radio broadcasting instruction at an accredited college or university, or work-related experience
• Knowledge of editing software like Adobe Audition or similar software
• Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Wide Orbit considered an asset
• Familiarity with radio studio sound boards
• Ability to handle yourself professionally in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Availability to work a flexible part time schedule including days, evenings and weekends

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
