One Hub Ottawa is a modern digital hub designed to connect businesses, brands, and opportunities in Ottawa. We act as a business lounge, community board, and promotional platform for brands, entrepreneurs, and professionals. We are currently building our online presence and are looking for a creative, consistent, and motivated Social Media Manager & Content Creator to grow with us and lead our digital marketing efforts across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce, SEO, and digital marketing, with proficiency in graphic design tools and social media management applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our brand presence, engage with our audience, and drive growth through innovative social media campaigns.

Role Overview

This is a volunteer role with high growth potential. As the platform stabilizes and begins to generate consistent revenue, there is a strong possibility of fixed pay, alongside commission opportunities based on performance, partnerships, and content-driven leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post at least once daily across our social media platforms (primarily Instagram)
  • Create engaging reels, posts, and stories
  • Maintain and manage a content calendar/schedule
  • Brainstorm and execute creative content ideas aligned with the brand
  • Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content
  • Stay consistent with branding, aesthetics, and messaging
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles, keyword research, and Google Analytics for data-driven decision making.

Requirements

  • Proven interest or experience in social media management and content creation
  • Ability to use Canva confidently (designing posts, stories, and reels)
  • Must own an iPhone 14 or higher or an equivalent high-quality camera
  • Strong eye for aesthetics, trends, and engaging content
  • Organized, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working independently and meeting daily posting expectations
