Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer with expertise in IoT devices, embedded systems, and industrial integration technologies to join our Masterly engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing in Python, C/C++, or similar languages and be proficient in integrating hardware, PLCs, sensors, and communication protocols.
This role focuses on data collection, management, and integration across diverse IoT ecosystems, including wireless technologies, Bluetooth, ANT+, industrial control systems, and modern embedded platforms. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between hardware and software, enabling seamless and secure data flow for intelligent, connected solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain integration solutions for IoT devices, PLCs, and hardware systems.
- Write efficient and reliable code in Python, C, C++, or similar for device communication and data management.
- Develop and manage data pipelines for sensor data collection, transformation, and storage.
- Integrate with industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, CAN bus) and wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, ANT+, LoRa, 5G).
- Collaborate with embedded developers to ensure optimal performance and reliability of devices.
- Build and maintain APIs and middleware for system-to-system communication.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards and protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware–software integration issues in lab and production environments.
- Collaborate with data engineers, AI specialists, and product teams to deliver end-to-end connected solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging IoT and embedded technology trends.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in IoT, embedded systems, or industrial integration.
- Proficiency in Python, C, or C++ for embedded development and integration tasks.
- Strong knowledge of data protocols and communication standards (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, REST, gRPC).
- Hands-on experience with wireless technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, ANT+, LoRa, or 5G).
- Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Solid understanding of microcontrollers, SBCs (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Jetson), and embedded Linux.
- Experience with data management and pipeline development for IoT ecosystems.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional hardware and software teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with edge computing platforms and real-time data processing.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices in IoT/OT environments.
- Familiarity with cloud IoT platforms (AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Google IoT Core).
- Exposure to robotics integration, automation systems, or smart manufacturing.
- Experience with FPGA programming or low-level hardware design.
- Knowledge of AI/ML deployment on embedded or edge devices.
