Mechanic - Peace Canyon

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Peace Canyon Gen Stn

Employment type: Permanent Region: Northern Interior

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Field

Hourly Rate: $ 47.93

What you'll do

  • A Journeyperson Mechanic shall install, operate, maintain, overhaul and repair mechanical equipment of all kinds, and

mechanical portions of electrical equipment in the Employer's electrical system exclusive of that in diesel generating

stations

What you bring

  • A Machinist or Millwright trades qualification (TQ), BC or Interprovincial
  • Certification (BC or Interprovincial) in welding Levels A, B or C would be an asset
  • Valid Class 5 B.C. driver's license
  • Physically capable to perform the work
  • Ability to function successfully in a crew environment
  • A strong commitment to safety, WorkSafeBC requirements and safe working practices
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Well established computer skills
