POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for providing accounts payable administrative services to ensure effective, efficient and accurate AP operations, while maintaining and representing the integrity of the company and its processes. The role will be reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Note, this is twelve (12) months temporary role.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct data entry of invoices and ensure accuracy with SOX compliance 3-way matching
  • Review statements
  • Work with Purchasers on PO discrepancies with invoices
  • Manage phone and e-mail inquiries from vendors
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all data and information
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procedural consistency and assist with field and client queries
  • Assist with resolving field and client queries when necessary and as needed
  • Liaise and collaborate with AP team as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting considered and asset, but not required
  • 2-3 years full cycle accounts payable experience within the Oil and Gas/Construction industry
  • Working knowledge of Viewpoint/Vista, an asset

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for promoting and living out MasTec Purnell Canada's 6 Core Values
  • Proficiency in Adobe / Bluebeam and Outlook
  • Intermediate Excel skills; V-lookups, pivot tables, sorting and organizing data
