Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse/Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, managing warehouse distribution tasks, and ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, warehouse experience, and the ability to operate various types of industrial equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, accuracy, and efficiency are paramount.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts to load and unload materials
- Manage warehouse distribution activities including order fulfillment, packaging, and inventory management
- Assist with shipping & receiving operations ensuring timely processing of goods
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of materials to support manufacturing or construction projects
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment and report any mechanical issues
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all warehouse operations
- Support order picking, packing, and loading activities to meet delivery schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment processes
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
- Prior work involving manufacturing or construction environments is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse management
This role requires candidates to demonstrate mechanical aptitude, operational expertise with heavy machinery, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
