Responsibilities

  • Operate tow trucks to transport vehicles safely to designated locations.
  • Provide roadside assistance, including jump-starts, tire changes, and fuel delivery.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the tow truck to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding service requests and vehicle status.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and any incidents that occur during towing operations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
  • Assist with minor automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle operability before towing.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) (minimum Class 3a, with a clean driving record. Class 1 A is an added bonus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in customer service, demonstrating effective communication skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery is a plus.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed and showing up at required scheduled shifts.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks associated with towing operations.
