Organization: Choices for Youth (Administrative Host for Becket IYS)
Location: Within Newfoundland and Labrador
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
Reports to: Director, Becket Integrated Youth Services
Becket Integrated Youth Services (IYS) Newfoundland and Labrador is driving systems transformation, innovation, and impact across the province. Its goal is to improve how youth and their families access mental health, substance use, and wellness supports through an integrated, community-based model. Rooted in the internationally recognized IYS movement, Becket collaborates with communities, service providers, Indigenous leaders, policymakers, and funders, and connects nationally through Canada's growing IYS network.
Choices for Youth (CFY) serves as the administrative host and backbone organization for Becket. In this role, CFY's backbone team convenes partners, supports co-design processes, and advances systems change through project management, strategic planning, knowledge mobilization, and evaluation. The team emphasizes meaningful engagement with youth, families, service providers, Indigenous partners, and system leaders - applying systems thinking, social innovation, and continuous improvement to strengthen the initiative.
Reporting to the Director, Becket IYS, the Implementation Manager provides leadership and operational guidance on implementing the IYS model across current and emerging Becket hubs. This role will have a special focus on two new hubs currently in development, with the goal of scaling the network to a total of nine Integrated Youth Hubs (IYS). Working closely with the Becket leadership team, this position helps manage strategic projects, strengthen partnerships, and scale the IYS model provincewide.
Through this work, the Implementation Support Manager advances Becket's vision of integrated, accessible, and youth-centered mental health and wellness supports across Newfoundland and Labrador.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage activities supporting the two new Becket youth hubs in development, from start-up and soft launch through to official opening. Includes support for site readiness, governance, partnership development, service integration, budgeting, reporting, and communications.
- Support existing Becket hub in ongoing development and local adaptation of the IYS model to reflect community strengths and needs. Includes evaluating pilot projects, strengthening operations, and coordinating initiative-wide projects.
- Develop and formalize processes, templates, workflows, forms, and agreements to guide hub development and promote consistent implementation across sites.
- Foster an environment of continuous learning to ensure youth receive the highest quality, integrated, and youth-centered care.
- Lead and coordinate project management activities across Becket sites, including work planning, milestone tracking, reporting, and risk management to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans to advance IYS-focused systems change and co-design initiatives. Includes defining project scope, timelines, deliverables, and evaluation frameworks, and monitoring progress to ensure alignment with Becket's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-sector partners to ensure effective communication, alignment of activities, and shared accountability for outcomes.
- Support measurement, evaluation, and reporting to track Becket's progress, identify learnings, and demonstrate impact across communities.
- Plan, design, and develop curricula for trainings, workshops, and other knowledge exchange activities to build capacity among Becket and partner staff, as well as service providers across the province.
- Conduct needs assessments and environmental scans to identify core competencies required for successful implementation of Becket's IYS model and components. Define learning goals and objectives, select effective educational methodologies, and determine appropriate training formats to support skill development and system-wide learning.
- Integrate Becket's core values into all aspects of work, promoting equitable, youth-led, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Travel within Newfoundland and Labrador to support Becket sites and partner communities as required.
- Experience working with Indigenous governments & organizations would be an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
You are a collaborative, high-energy team player passionate about community partnerships, system innovation, and the IYS model's potential to improve youth and family wellness. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Post-secondary education in Social Work, Public Administration, Community Development, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in community development, systems change, continuous improvement, or capacity building in a non-profit or public sector setting.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across sectors and regions.
- Solid understanding of community-based operations and the realities of implementing services in rural and remote areas.
- Proven skills in facilitation, and project management.
- Strong writing and reporting skills, with experience preparing tools, frameworks, and project documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, evolving environment.
- Knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous collaboration principles.
- Commitment to decolonizing, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches aligned with Becket's values.
- Experience working in rural, remote, or Indigenous communities in Newfoundland and Labrador considered a strong asset.
