We are currently hiring a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to teach high school students (Grades 9–12) through our online learning platform.

Responsibilities

  • Teach high school Chemistry topics such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, organic chemistry, and solutions.
  • Deliver clear, interactive online lessons to small groups or one-on-one students.
  • Prepare structured lesson plans that align with provincial Chemistry curriculum standards.
  • Assist students with homework, lab simulations, classroom assignments, and test preparation.
  • Evaluate student understanding and provide constructive, individualized feedback.
  • Engage with parents and the academic team about student progress.
  • Create a supportive and motivating virtual learning environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Provincial teaching certification (OCT or equivalent) is a strong asset.
  • Previous experience teaching high school Chemistry in Canada.
  • Ability to explain complex chemical concepts in a simple and relatable way.
  • Comfortable using virtual teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Classroom, and online lab simulators.
  • Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
  • Retired educators or teachers with additional after-school availability are highly encouraged to apply.
