Chinook's Edge School Division (CESD) invites applications for a full-time Pay and Benefits Administrator at the Division Office in Innisfail (20 minutes south of Red Deer and 50 minutes north of Calgary). The successful candidate will work directly with the Treasurer and Director of Finance as part of a team that processes monthly payroll for approximately 2,300 full-time, part-time, and casual employees. The applicant will be deadline-driven, service oriented, and attentive to accuracy. Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 5 years of payroll experience, payroll training, outstanding technical and analytical skills as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills. This is a full-time permanent position with guaranteed annual salary, full benefits (including a health & wellness spending account) and pension through the Local Authorities Pension Plan.
The successful candidate will have professional payroll experience, ensuring compliance with employment standards, provincial and federal legislation, collective agreements, handbooks, benefit plans and pensions. Excellent interpersonal and organizational/time management skills are required. Knowledge and high proficiency in preparing advanced data queries, analyses and reports using Microsoft Excel are also required. Preference will be given to candidates with Canadian Payroll Association certification and experience using Bellamy software.
