Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to support our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will assist licensed physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans, preparing patients, and ensuring smooth clinical operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, contributing to patient recovery and well-being. Prior hospital experience and familiarity with acute care settings are highly valued.

Duties

  • Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and treatment sessions
  • Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
  • Support patients during exercises and mobility activities under supervision
  • Monitor patient progress and report any concerns to the supervising therapist
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces and equipment
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including infection control procedures
  • Provide compassionate patient care, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times

Qualifications

  • Previous clinic experience, preferably in acute care settings
  • Strong understanding of patient care principles within a medical environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records
  • Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient comfort and safety
  • Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant is preferred but not mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
