Job Overview

Provide exceptional service to our customers at the Fish & Deli Counter and/or Sushi Counter. Ensure all products are stocked, merchandised, and labelled. Assist with the preparation and packing of food.

Schedule: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 10:00AM - 6:00PM)

Pay: Ranging from $17.85-$18.25 based on previous experience (plus perks like free meals, employee events, and store discount)

Duties

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner whether in person or over the phone
  • Pack and label customer food or orders
  • Follow proper merchandising and food safety standards for all coolers and freezers to control freshness of product
  • Restock and carefully inspect products for expiry dates or quality issues
  • Prepare orders for customers or delivery to other stores
  • Follow proper merchandising standards
  • Support the kitchen with preparation tasks
  • Assist customers with questions or requests
  • Follow cleaning, receiving and inventory policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Japanese food and products an asset
  • Physical ability to do tasks (including standing/walking, lifting and carrying up to 20LB, packing and serving food)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85-$18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
