FlexWell Physiotherapy is a dedicated and patient-focused healthcare facility specializing in physiotherapy and rehabilitation services. We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) with administrative skills to join our team.

Job Summary:

This hybrid role involves assisting physiotherapists in patient care while also handling front-desk and administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about patient care.

Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties:

  • Assist physiotherapists with treatment sessions, including exercises and modalities.
  • Educate and guide patients on prescribed exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies.
  • Monitor and document patient progress as directed by the physiotherapist.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during sessions.

Administrative Duties:

  • Greet and assist patients at the front desk.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries.
  • Maintain and update patient records and billing information.
  • Process insurance claims and payments.
  • Order and manage clinic supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or certificate as a Physiotherapy Assistant or related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a PTA or in a healthcare administrative role is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in JANE and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of basic medical and physiotherapy terminology.
  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
