The world relies on HPS to continually conceive and produce state-of-the-art transformer technology. We currently have an opening for a Commodities Specialist, come grow with us

Reporting to the Commodity Manager, the Commodities Specialist provides project support, assists in various supply chain tasks, and actively participates in the execution of sourcing strategies. This role ensures the assigned materials standard cost is maintained and manages critical data and KPIs within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • The commodities specialist coordinates the day-to-day activities to execute Procurement plans as directed by the applicable Commodity Manager(s)
  • This role manages the front office flow and ensures the product master, HCN creation, and processing are efficient and accurate

  • The position involves tactical material, sourcing, management and support

  • Ensure product costs are entered in a timely manner and ensure the product cost is correct

  • Maintain data integrity, product descriptions, revision control/accuracy and overall consistency between all HPS locations

  • Purchasing of good and monitoring/coordinating purchases
  • Participate in the development of standard systems and tools for utilization at all HPS sites.

  • Prepare critical Supply Chain KPIs.

  • Provides support for intercompany and inter site ERP system.

Do you qualify? We are seeking:

  • Certificate, College diploma or university degree, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management.
  • 2 to 5 years of related work experience
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, BI and PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of D365 or a similar ERP system
  • Ability to learn new software tools and systems
  • Good business communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Excellent time management skills – ability to set goals, plan and prioritize
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
