We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled General Superintendent to oversee a major civil infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in site organization, traffic management, logistics, deliveries, storm water management, temporary works, trailers setup, grading, and site maintenance.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Site Organization: Plan and manage the overall site layout, ensuring efficient use of space and resources.
  • Traffic Management: Develop and implement traffic control plans to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around the construction site.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee the scheduling and coordination of deliveries, ensuring timely arrival of materials and equipment.
  • Storm Water Management: Implement and maintain storm water management systems to prevent flooding and erosion on the construction site.
  • Temporary Works: Supervise the design, installation, and maintenance of temporary structures and facilities required for the project.
  • Trailers Setup: Coordinate the setup and maintenance of site trailers, ensuring they are equipped with necessary utilities and resources.
  • Site Maintenance: Ensure the construction site is kept clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor construction activities to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of site personnel, including unionized workers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a Sr. Superintendent and/or General Superintendent role on major civil infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in site organization, traffic management, logistics, storm water management, and temporary works.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with unionized labor.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.

  • Experience with project management software and tools.

  • Familiarity with permit processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
