We are seeking a full-time nanny—live-in or live-out—to support our household and provide care for our 9-month-old child.

Wage: $21–$26 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Hours per week: 40+

Days off: 2 per week

Accommodation: A private suite may be provided for live-in arrangements.

Requirements: A valid driver's license is required. (A vehicle is not currently provided but may be negotiable.)

Overview

We are seeking a caring and responsible Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive childcare for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nurturing, teaching, and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in a home or daycare setting. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development while working in a supportive environment that values professionalism and compassion. Prior experience with children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children's dietary needs
  • Assist with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and nap times
  • Ensure the safety of children at all times, including monitoring play areas and outdoor activities
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks related to childcare, including cleaning up after meals and tidying play areas
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies
  • Support children's educational activities, including teaching basic skills or preschool curriculum when appropriate
  • Work with children with disabilities or special needs with patience and understanding
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, routines, and any concerns

Skills

  • Experience with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
  • Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
  • First aid certification is preferred; ability to respond calmly in emergency situations
  • Ability to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children
  • Experience with caregiving for children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents and other caregivers
  • Patience, compassion, and a nurturing attitude towards children
  • Ability to perform light cleaning related to childcare duties efficiently
  • Teaching experience or background in daycare settings is advantageous
