We are seeking a full-time nanny—live-in or live-out—to support our household and provide care for our 9-month-old child.

Wage: $21–$26 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Hours per week: 40+

Days off: 2 per week

Accommodation: A private suite may be provided for live-in arrangements.

Requirements: A valid driver's license is required. (A vehicle is not currently provided but may be negotiable.)

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Babysitter/Nanny to provide exceptional childcare for our family. The ideal candidate will have a nurturing disposition and be skilled in engaging with children of various ages, from infants to toddlers. This role requires a proactive individual who can create a safe, stimulating, and fun environment while ensuring the well-being of the children in their care.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, educational games, and outdoor activities.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks while accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the home by tidying up after activities, cleaning play areas, and assisting with laundry as needed.
  • Provide care for infants and toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and nap time routines.
  • Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Foster a positive learning environment through teaching basic skills such as numbers, letters, and social interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns that may arise.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in childcare or nannying roles is essential; experience with infants and toddlers is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure the safety of the children.
  • Strong cooking skills for meal preparation that promotes healthy eating habits.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • A background in preschool education or daycare settings is beneficial for engaging children in learning activities.
