Position Overview
As our Site Manager, you will be r esponsible for leading site-level project execution at nuclear facilities by planning, scheduling, and supervising field teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. You will provide direction to site personnel and unionized trades, implement safety and quality programs, and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. You will act as the main site contact for project managers and customer representatives, ensuring effective coordination of field activities in a nuclear environment.

Your Day To Day As Our Site Manager

  • Lead field execution for nuclear and heavy-industrial projects, including developing field procedures, schedules, and execution plans.
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations for multidisciplinary teams (25–100 personnel), including unionized trades, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient delivery.
  • Manage project performance in the field—budget, productivity, resource planning, materials, tooling, and schedule adherence.
  • Support hiring, performance management, labour-relations issues, and administration of grievances in complex unionized environments.
  • Drive safety culture by implementing site safety programs, applying ALARA principles, and ensuring compliance with CNSC regulatory, FME, and nuclear access requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with customers, contractors, and station project staff; attend meetings, provide status reporting, and support negotiations and contract changes.
  • Lead outage execution with 24/7 coverage, managing compressed schedules and high-volume craft hours to achieve critical-path milestones.
  • Support proposal planning, estimating, and identification of new work opportunities.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across field operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical diploma required; engineering degree/diploma preferred.
  • 7–10+ years of site experience, ideally within CANDU nuclear utilities.
  • Strong project management background.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary site teams, including unionized trades, in nuclear or heavy industrial settings.
  • Solid understanding of CNSC regulatory requirements, FME controls, and ALARA principles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong customer-service focus.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, and station project teams.
  • Eligible for federal Reliability/Security clearance.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently, including extended periods during outages.

Security Clearance
This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $111,000 and $159,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
