The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with seven other operating mines in the United States, Mexico and Brazil.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Helper to join our team. Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Helper is responsible for following direction of Supervisors to assist the team in the maintenance shop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all instruments, tools and work areas are maintained in an appropriate manner.
  • Assist in performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all mining equipment.
  • Assist technicians in all shop requirements.
  • Wash equipment.
  • Ensure the shop is clean at all times.

Required Experience And Skill Set

  • 1+ years of experience in a mining or industrial setting.
  • Prior experience with heavy machinery.

  • Job tasks may be physically demanding, lifting to 50 lbs.
  • This position is based in Geraldton, Ontario.

Certifications

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ontario Surface Common Core training is an asset.

Education
