Team Lead Community Support Worker

Job description
This role involves working with individuals who have complex neurodiverse needs. The site location is Edmonton. Preference will be given to applicants with leadership experience, specialized training, and experience supporting neurodiverse individuals and/or those with developmental disabilities.
In Your Role, You Will:
*Build strong, supportive relationships with individuals with disabilities.
*Act as an advocate for individuals within the community.
*Collaborate effectively with the individual and their support team to achieve personal goals.
*Design, implement, and evaluate programs tailored to individual needs.
*Oversee and coordinate all aspects of case management, including support plan development and implementation.
*Complete daily documentation accurately and on time.
*Support and participate in recreation and leisure activities.
*Perform administrative and cleaning duties related to home operations.
*Supervise staff, including scheduling, evaluations, and training.
*Participate in ongoing program development.
*Communicate with other relevant professionals.
*Provide personal care as required.
*Complete transfer belt training as needed.
Training & Clearances Required:
*Diploma or higher in a human services field (minimum two-year program from an accredited Canadian college or university).
*Security Clearance Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search (within the last 6 months).
*Child Services Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months).
*Standard First Aid with CPR.
*Suicide Awareness or Suicide Intervention training.
*Cultural Awareness training.
*Medication Administration training.
*Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license with 3 years of driving experience in Canada.
*Recent driver's abstract (within the last 6 months).
*Auto insurance with $2 million third-party liability coverage.
*Strong communication skills.
Required Experience:
*2+ years of leadership experience.
*Neurodiversity training or experience.
*Mental health training or experience.
*Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel).
*Direct support experience with individuals with disabilities.
*Strong self-awareness and co-regulation skills.
*Assets: Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, CARE training, residential setting experience, *Health Care Aide certificate or higher.
