The Role
Reporting to the IT Service Desk Manager, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for a number of key functions within the IT Service Delivery function that enable the delivery of a high-quality service to end users.
This position is a customer facing role, requires that you establish and manage expectations of the business and engage and drive peers within the IT team, as well as external service providers, to achieve those expectations to the highest possible standards.
This role will ensure continuity of all steady state IT services but also work on multiple concurrent projects that deliver positive outcomes for the business.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure maximum service availability of office devices and infrastructure.
Execution of Incident, Request, Change, Problem and Escalation management processes, ensuring high levels of performance and accurate reporting.
Resolution of critical incidents.
Execute BAU service delivery, ensuring appropriate systems, policies and procedures are in place and followed.
Participate in internal and external service review meetings covering performance, service improvements, quality, and processes.
Contribute to development and tracking of the end user support budget, including software licensing, office technology and end user device costs.
Support delivery of key technology projects such as infrastructure enhancements, network upgrades, hardware refreshes and cyber-security related changes.
Provide onsite support for end user devices including laptops, tablets and company/BYOD mobile devices
About you
You will have:
Bachelor's degree in business information systems (IS), computer science, or related field, or equivalent related IT experience
Demonstrated experience in IT Operations
Proven experience in project management, including experience managing multiple parallel
programs or projects.
Extensive experience of IT service management, service delivery and ITIL processes
Experience building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Solid understanding of Windows 10/11 desktop and Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365 suite and LAN infrastructure.
Strong people skills, with an emphasis on the ability to effectively influence other
