Dental Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing excellent patient service, and supporting the administrative functions of the office. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with dental and medical office procedures. Prior experience with electronic medical records and dental software such as CLEARDENT/ TRACKER/ RECALL MAX / CADI is highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures efficiently
- Schedule appointments using CLEARDENT OR TRACKER dental software
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing accordingly
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical records systems such as Epic
- Collect payments, explain treatment plans, and address patient inquiries
- Prepare and manage patient forms, documentation, and correspondence
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and inventory management
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth workflow during clinic hours
- Uphold confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist environment is a MUST
- Proficiency with dental software such as Cleardent/ Tracker / Recall max is preferred but not a must.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience managing multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and billing procedures is a plus
