Senior Business Analyst – P&C - Property and Casualty, contract

Toronto Downtown or Montreal downtown
office , 2 days per week

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – P&C - Property and Casualty

Location: Toronto Downtown or Montreal downtown (2 days hybrid must for this role)

Duration: Contract (1-2 yrs)

Job Description:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you play a critical role in ensuring we are building the right products and processes to continuously improve the customer experience. Acting as the link between business and information technology partners, you will work with the business to identify ways to improve operational processes and the customer experience through active listening, asking 'Why' questions, and all the while building collaborative relationships with stakeholders across different departments.

Here Are a Few Ways You'll Make a Difference

• Work with key stakeholders to apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects
• You will identify and own requirements and act as the alternate go-to source for an agile team.
• Work with the product design and/or customer experience designers to translate vision into specifications based on roadmaps
• Facilitate workshops to document current business processes and technical systems; identify areas of opportunity to gain efficiencies and enhance the customer experience
• Write clear agile stories that help propel engineering work with the help of the product design team
• Obtain and consolidate feedback from various key stakeholders
• Guide and co-ordinate the planning, designing, execution and validation of the test cases with the users and ensure that the user tests comply with the established standards and practices
• Assist with change management planning and delivery
• Assess and document impacts and plan for risk mitigation
• Communicate project progress to stakeholders
• Support PO in maximizing engagement and efficiency of the team
• Produce any documentation required to help move product/process forward
• Participate in planning, demos, committees and retrospectives
• Execute roadmaps based on client feedback and analytics insights
• Co-ordinate and manage warranty support

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education & relevant experience will be considered
• P&C Insurance Experience MUST
• 5 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong ability to work with and influence all levels of leadership
• Experience in process reengineering and prior business transformation experience
• Experience reviewing/documenting work processes and working with operational teams to improve on work processes
• Experience working in an agile Scrum / matrix environment
  an asset
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• P&C Insurance and Personal Line experience
  necessary
• Strong Presentation and facilitation skills – skilled at PPT and Visio
• Prior Business Analyst experience an asset
• Prior Design Thinking and Customer Journey mapping experience an asset
