Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Proficiency with various accounting software and systems is essential to support efficient accounting operations. This role offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, utilizing your expertise in accounting and data entry to contribute to the organization's financial health.

Duties

  • Reconcile and record daily cash registers.
  • Post new vehicle invoices into the Dealer Management System ("DMS").
  • Enter and maintain internal invoices for new & used vehicles into the DMS.
  • Assist with the review, coding and posting of vendor invoices.
  • Assist with the reconciliation of the manufacturer's A/P statement and after market statements.
  • Assist with financial month end by reviewing account reconciliations, finding differences, and resolving them under the direction of the Financial Controller.
  • Organize and file accounting department documents.
  • Complete all relevant training modules and maintain thorough understanding of the DMS
  • Other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, UltiPro, ADP, Kronos, or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and bookkeeping principles.
  • Experience with account reconciliation and data entry in a finance setting.
  • Familiarity with accounts receivable functions is a plus.
  • Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office with very strong Excel skills
  • Experience with Dealer Management Systems - ERA - Reynolds & Reynolds an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
