Job Duties:

As an Engineering Project lead, you will complete technical investigations, troubleshooting, leading installation and coordinating with contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, Create, and Modify PLC, Robotic, and HMI programs
  • Create and Modify Electrical drawings using AutoCAD
  • Manage and lead projects of various complexities including initial investigation, testing and implementation.
  • Lead and support equipment commissioning , modifications and installations
  • Oversee and coordinate with contractors during equipment modifications and installations
  • Participate in the Development of equipment within KSM, including but not limited to, Jig Spec, Jig Design, Weld Schedules, and Weld Allotment
  • Create, modify and review assembly and layout drawings using Catia and AutoCAD
  • Ensure equipment meets all safety standards and PSHR
  • Utilize root cause analysis to develop and implement various equipment improvements to generate equipment efficiency and safety.
  • Generate proposals and present to all levels of management
  • Serve as the engineering "window" contact to support departments and K-Group business partners

What we look for:

  • Minimum 3 year College Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Must have at least 3 years experience working in Automotive Manufacturing
  • Automation Experience ( PLC, HMI, Robot, Safety PLC, VFD)
  • Previous experience with Robotic Welding systems is required
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA
  • Experience with Solidworks or Inventor is an asset
  • Experience with Keyence or Cognex vision system is an asset
