Esthetics Instructor

Job Description:

Cappa College of Business, Health & Technology is seeking a skilled and passionate Esthetics Instructor to join our team. The Esthetics Instructor will be responsible for teaching students the necessary skills in skincare, makeup artistry, nail care, waxing, and other beauty treatments. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver theoretical and practical instruction in esthetics techniques, including facials, skincare treatments, makeup application, nail care, and waxing.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress through assessments, exams, and hands-on demonstrations.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Provide personalized feedback and mentorship to students to support their growth in the esthetics field.
• Stay current with the latest trends, products, and innovations in the beauty and esthetics industry.
• Maintain a clean and safe classroom, lab, and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Supervise students during practical lab sessions, providing guidance and demonstrating techniques.
• Collaborate with other instructors to ensure consistent program quality and student success.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and industry events.

Required Qualifications:

Licensure/Certification:

• Must hold a valid Esthetics certification in Ontario (or equivalent).
• Certification in areas such as skincare, makeup, and nail care from a recognized beauty institution is required.

Education:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a professional esthetician.
• Completion of an accredited esthetics diploma or degree program.
• Teaching certification or prior experience teaching in a post-secondary institution (such as Ontario College of Teachers or similar).

Experience:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in the esthetics field (e.g., working in a spa, salon, or beauty clinic).
• Previous teaching or training experience in an esthetics or beauty school setting is an asset.

Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of skincare, makeup artistry, nail care, waxing, and related treatments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively teach and support students.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and students.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the beauty industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hybrid or online teaching platforms.
• Additional certifications in specialized areas of esthetics (e.g., advanced skincare, lash extensions, or body treatments).
• Knowledge of current trends, products, and technologies in aesthetics.
• Fluency in English

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
