We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Building Caretaker to support the daily operations of a residential building in beautiful James Bay. This is an excellent part-time role for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and keeping a building running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, schedule, and oversee trades and service providers
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to identify maintenance needs or issues
  • Communicate with building management and residents as needed
  • Perform routine janitorial duties, including:
  • Mopping and vacuuming common areas
  • Cleaning entranceways, lobbies, and hallways
  • Wiping down surfaces and keeping shared areas tidy
  • Monitor the building for cleanliness, safety, and minor maintenance needs
  • Handle light maintenance tasks where appropriate (non-technical)

  • Bondable individual
  • Experience in caretaking, janitorial work, or building maintenance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
  • Comfortable interacting with trades, contractors, and residents
  • Reliable, conscientious, and detail-oriented
