The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for system development, delivery, and support by evaluating system changes both functionally and technically and recommends if the system is ready to be deployed by developing and coordinating Quality Control (QC)/testing activities. The QA Analyst works collaboratively with both business and technical staff in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement gathering and analysis, solution design, development, integration and testing, implementation and maintenance. Primary duties include:

  • Create, rollout and manage test strategies.
  • Test Case Development/Test Plan Execution for all quality assurance purposes, including preparation, conducting testing and documenting results and recommendations.
  • Create and execute automated test scripts.
  • Defect management including identification, verification, root cause analysis, interpreting technical constraints and consult with software developers, business unit to triage priority.
  • Test Planning/Requirement Analysis by working with business, project and technical staff to ensure functional, regression, performance and user acceptance testing requirements.
  • Production support including troubleshooting system and data errors, contributing to training on system functionality.
  • Pre-Production Environment Management, overseeing the Test and Stage environments and coordinate timing of development solutions being promoted through these environments.

Qualifications

  • A completed diploma in Computer Information Systems or a related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, system testing or application support.
  • Experience should include executing all phases on the Software Test Life Cycle and developing and maintaining test automation.
  • Experience using Selenium with Java or C# would be an asset.
  • Preference will be given to applicants with an International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification.
  • Experience with software development processes, Agile Scrum, Test Script Automation and Microsoft Power Platform are considered assets.

  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Compensation: Pay Grade 10 $ per hour

Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day

work week with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
