Calgary, Alberta, Canada Dream Full time

Dream is looking for a Manager, Marketing
Dream is seeking a skilled Marketing Manager to join our thriving team. You will lead the centralized strategic planning, brand development, and execution of marketing programs for our retail and multi-family residential rental portfolio.

As a key member of our team, you will bridge the gap between high-level brand visioning and the tactical execution required to drive leasing success. This role is designed for a marketer who thrives on variety: you will leverage market data to build campaigns one day and manage the hands-on launch of a retail activation the next.

Supported by one of Canada's leading real estate companies, this is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where your initiative directly impacts our success.

Who are you?
You are a 'full-stack' marketer who thrives with a high level of ownership. You don't just build strategies; you enjoy seeing them through to execution. You are equally comfortable oscillating between high-level brand narrative and diving into the nuts-and-bolts of getting a new campaign live.

To Succeed In This Role, You Must Possess

  • Agility & Resourcefulness: You treat the budget and your time like they are your own resources. You have the judgment to know when to roll up your sleeves to get a project across the finish line yourself, and when to strategically outsource to vendors to scale your impact while protecting your bandwidth.
  • A "No Task Too Small" Mindset: You understand that success lies in the details. You are as comfortable presenting a quarterly budget reforecast as you are proofing signage specs or coordinating a site activation.
  • B2B & B2C Versatility: You can switch gears mentally. You understand that the language used to court a commercial tenant is fundamentally different from the emotional narrative used to welcome a new resident – and you can write for both.
  • High Autonomy: You don't wait for permission to solve a problem. You are proactive in identifying gaps in our marketing ecosystem and filling them.

Most importantly, you are a Culture Ambassador.
We value leaders who lead by example. You foster an environment where hard work and collaboration thrive, serving as an active champion of our values. You maintain a relentless customer-first focus, ensuring we deliver superior experiences for our tenants and retailers alike. You bring passion, energy, and initiative to a fast-paced workplace and are ready to make an immediate impact.

What will you do?
Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role:

  • Lead and execute comprehensive marketing plans for retail and multi-family rental projects, ensuring alignment with regional community Marketing Managers and the strategic vision set by the Director of Marketing.
  • Contribute to brand visioning, helping ensure a complementary narrative between our commercial spaces and residential products that intertwines with local community initiatives.
  • Partner with Property Management and Development teams to ensure the successful lease-up and launch of all new and existing retail and residential rental projects, including oversight of the tenant welcome program experience.
  • Lead the development of all retail and rental marketing materials (brochures, eblasts, signage), leveraging data to craft high-impact opportunity propositions that attract target retailers and residents.
  • Direct the creation of visual assets (photography, renderings) and write effective, true-to-brand copy to ensure projects are represented authentically.
  • Own the end-to-end signage strategy and execution, from design and placement to ensuring timely physical installation and alignment with regional stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute a range of marketing events, including industry shows, retail activations, resident engagements, and sponsorships.
  • Oversee all digital leasing assets, including the development and maintenance of retail and rental sections of community websites, upkeep of accurate retail and rental inventories, floorplans, and property specifications, and implementation of rental API integrations.
  • Own project and annual budget management, rigorously monitoring spends and adjusting forward planning for effective resource control.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships as a primary liaison, managing all external marketing vendors, media partners, and internal departments to drive project success.
  • Direct advertising placements and collaborate with media partners to coordinate high-impact programs, managing digital advertising budgets to support leasing goals.
  • Serve as a key member of a cross-regional team, actively participating in leasing and marketing meetings to ensure cohesive strategy deployment.
  • Contribute to other stimulating projects as required to meet evolving business needs.

What experience and qualifications are required?
These are some of the things we would like you to bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of progressive marketing experience.
  • Previous experience in real estate (residential or commercial) is highly preferred.
  • Beyond standard MS Office proficiency, you are comfortable with CMS platforms, digital advertising backends, and data analysis.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are non-negotiable. You must be able to write compelling copy for two different audiences (B2B and B2C).
  • You are proactive, have creative problem-solving skills, and possess the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
