Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pharmacy Technician at Metro Pharmacy Compounding, located in North York, ON. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for preparing medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, dispensing medications, labeling products, and maintaining records. The day-to-day tasks include assisting pharmacists in managing inventory control, procuring pharmaceutical supplies, and providing exceptional customer service to healthcare professionals and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Filling prescriptions (measuring, counting, and dispensing medications)
  • Inventory management (ordering new supplies and managing medication stock)
  • Interact with customers to address their medication needs
  • Handle insurance claims, billing issues, and authorizations
  • Assisting with basic medication compounding, including ointments, creams, pills, etc.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as pharmacy technician is required (minimum 2 years)
  • Certification or Diploma in Pharmacy Technician Program is desirable
  • Excellent Customer Service abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Farsi speaking is an asset

Compensation

  • Salary ranges from $19/hourly to $25/hourly, depending on experience level
  • Health insurance will be offered
  • 5 vacation days allowance
