With strong inventory, competitive pricing, and outstanding customer service, we continue to grow across Western Canada and we're currently seeking a dependable and skilled mechanic to support our Grande Prairie location on a temporary basis.

This position is intended for 1 to 3 months, with the possibility of longer-term opportunities in the future for the right candidate.

Position Overview

As a Temporary Journeyman Mechanic, you will be responsible for completing suspension and tire-related installs, ensuring high quality workmanship, and supporting daily shop operations. You will work alongside a team that values efficiency, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities - Suspension and Lift Installations

• Install lift kits, leveling kits, and suspension components properly and safely
• Diagnose and assess suspension related concerns and recommend solutions when needed
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of suspension components and installation practices

Tire and Wheel Services

• Perform tire installation and balancing, ensuring all checkpoints are completed including inflation, rotation, and torque specs
• Complete tire rotations and document services for future reference
• Inspect and repair tires when possible, or recommend replacement and warranty options
• Mount custom wheels carefully without scratching or damaging rims

Shop Duties

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace including daily sweeping and cleanup
• Ensure shop equipment is well maintained and service-ready
• Monitor commonly used shop supplies and help prevent stock-outs
• Dispose of used parts and materials in designated recycling areas

Customer Service and Quality Control

• Communicate clearly with customers about repairs and recommendations
• Protect customer vehicles from damage and keep them clean while in the shop
• Take ownership of workmanship and ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time
• Strive for excellent customer satisfaction with minimal return defects

Schedule and Expectations

• Full-time hours, 8-hour shifts with 1-hour unpaid lunch
• 6-hour Saturdays
• Overtime may be required depending on shop demand
• Uniform is provided and must be worn in clean, presentable condition
• All employees must follow company Health and Safety requirements at all times

Qualifications and Skills

• Journeyman Mechanic certification strongly preferred
• Previous experience installing suspension components, lift kits, and leveling kits is an asset
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks as assigned
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Physically capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs
• Must be available to work full-time, 5.5 days per week, with overtime when required
