The Security Studio is looking for a passionate Security Engineering Manager to help keep Spotify SAFE

In this role you will lead a team that ensures that teams at Spotify can easily understand the security posture of their products and how to improve it. As part of this mission, your team develops and maintains our internal security platform to collect, analyze and prioritize security findings from a variety of tools and systems. You will drive the strategy and execution for the team, working across security domains and partners from around the company. You'll support a team of dedicated security and software engineers to help them grow and excel in their roles.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, empower, challenge, and coach your team
  • Help craft, and then expertly deliver on our critical initiatives
  • Prioritize quality, and maintain and improve the health of owned technology
  • Collaborate closely with partners, collaborators and other leads across Spotify
  • Work passionately to ensure your team is doing the right things, while not spreading too thinly. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance is key for all successful teams at Spotify
Who You Are
  • You have 5+ years of experience in the security domain and 2+ years as an engineering manager leading a software or security engineering team
  • You have experience in cultivating and supporting others' growth as an engineering manager
  • You are passionate about security engineering
  • You have experience leading delivery for complex technical initiatives combining data, software and security engineering
  • You have excellent leadership and relationship-building skills
  • You thrive when developing extraordinary people, and great teams, not just great products (but also great products)
  • You are a strategic problem solver and great at sorting out ambiguity
  • You are comfortable making impactful decisions
Where You'll Be
  • This role is based in Toronto, Canada.
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
