General Manager – Timber Wolf Maintenance Inc.

Location: Invermere, BC | Compensation: Salary + Performance Bonus + Benefits | Full-Time, Year-Round

About Timber Wolf Maintenance Inc.:Timber Wolf is Invermere's trusted year-round high end property maintenance company. We specialize in seasonal landscaping, snow removal, turf treatments, clean-ups, and residential and commercial grounds care. As we grow, we're building a leadership team that is as dependable and driven as the services we deliver.

We are now hiring a General Manager to take operational ownership of our team, systems, and service execution while building a strong internal culture and helping us scale to the next level.

Position Overview:

As General Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations, oversee multiple department leads (lawn maintenance, snow removal, turf care, cleanups), and serve as the strategic bridge between ownership and field staff. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality results, managing profitability, and helping to expand the business and team.

This role is ideal for someone with operational leadership experience in trades, landscaping, or property services — someone ready to take full ownership of team performance, systems, scheduling, and client satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations

  • Manage the daily operations of all field departments (lawn care, cleanups, snow removal, turf treatments)
  • Supervise department leads, field supervisors, and technicians
  • Build weekly crew schedules and optimize routes and resource allocation
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and equipment usage standards

Business & Strategy

  • Assist ownership with quarterly planning and strategic growth initiatives
  • Maintain operational budgets and oversee cost control
  • Track KPIs across departments (job performance, revenue, team productivity)
  • Identify process improvements to streamline service delivery

Team & Culture

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and seasonal workforce planning
  • Build a positive, professional work culture that supports long-term staff retention
  • Facilitate ongoing training and performance development for crew leaders and team members

Client Experience & Quality

  • Monitor service quality across all projects
  • Step in to resolve complex service issues or job challenges (when ownership is not directly involved)
  • Ensure work meets Timberwolf's high standard across all client properties

What We're Looking For:

  • 3–5+ years of management experience in landscaping, construction, trades, or operations-focused service business
  • Strong people management and scheduling/operations coordination skills
  • Budgeting and performance tracking experience
  • Clear communicator with the ability to lead multiple crews effectively
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure
  • Proficiency with basic software tools (Google Sheets, CRM tools, or field ops software)
  • Valid driver's license

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in snow removal, turf treatments, or landscape construction
  • Previous experience scaling a team or company division

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Comprehensive benefits + Health Spending Account
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • Cell phone & uniform provided
  • Year-round employment and job security
  • Clear path to senior leadership roles as we expand
