Salary Range (Base): (CA$50,000 – CA$70,000)DOE

Role Summary – Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects across the organization. This role is responsible for coordinating procurement activities, tracking project budgets and financials, preparing documentation and reports, and ensuring seamless communication among internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers. The Project Coordinator assists the Project Manager with technical support, scheduling, data analysis, and workflow improvements while maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all project activities meet quality, budget, and timeline objectives. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with procurement of equipment, parts, supplies as needed.
  • Create action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
  • Analyze data and draw conclusions to make recommendations.
  • Provide technical assistance support to projects as defined by the Project Manager.
  • Develop and produce reports of study data for project staff and stakeholders.
  • Inform Project Sponsor of project status on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure programs and services offered reflect retention and budget.
  • Use network analysis tools and observation techniques to recommend changes based on trends.
  • Track project financials, including creating work orders and validate invoices.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure that payment has been received.
  • Generating, interpreting, and printing various assigned reports.
  • Ensure technical documentation is properly reviewed and maintained and made available in a timely manner.
  • Measure, track progress and coordinate implementation of the improvement plan.
  • Serve as liaison for projects across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement methods and tools by which to organize, standardize, and manage pre-screening activities.
  • Help to develop and maintain knowledge and skills and keep up-to-date with new processes and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills for Project Coordinator

  • Associate's degree in project management, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with CAD systems and MS suite.
  • Dedication to professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • A collaborator and critical thinker.
  • Sound time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with change orders and multitasking.

Working Conditions

  • Based at Burnaby Head Office with occasional travel to customer and project sites.
  • Combination of office, lab, and field environments; PPE required at site locations.
