Building Attendant

Location: Nepean, Ontario

We are seeking a dedicated and service-oriented individual to join the Patry Group of Companies as a Building Attendant. As a key member of our property management team in Ottawa, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and exceptional experience for our residents. Responsibilities:

  • Resident Engagement: Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for residents, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Building Maintenance and Cleaning: Conduct routine inspections of common areas, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness. Perform light cleaning duties as needed, such as sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the cleanliness of common spaces. Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution.
  • Security and Access Control: Monitor building entrances and exits, ensuring the security of the premises. Control access to the building, addressing unauthorized entries professionally.
  • Emergency Response: Act as a point of contact during emergencies, following established procedures and communicating effectively with residents and emergency services.
  • Community Relations: Build positive relationships with residents, addressing their needs and contributing to a sense of community within the building.
  • Amenities Oversight: Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of amenities such as fitness centers, lounges, and communal spaces.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on building activities, incidents, and resident feedback to the management team.
  • Adherence to Policies: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of building operations and maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with luxury apartment living is an asset.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.
  • A commitment to maintaining a high standard of professionalism and service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.60-$24.00 per hour
