Senior Paralegal

Aplin has partnered with one of Canada's Top Employers to hire a Senior Legal Paralegal. In this role, you will deliver high-level support across real estate transactions, contract management, and regulatory compliance. You'll work closely with internal teams, senior leadership, and external counsel, contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives, and have the opportunity to mentor the legal team as you advance into a leadership role. This role is ideal for adaptable, tech-savvy professionals transitioning from a law firm or in-house legal team (real estate, construction, energy, etc.) into a dynamic, fast-paced corporate environment.
About the Company:
The organization designs and builds homes, develops land, manages commercial assets, and oversees rental properties. You'll gain exposure to residential, commercial, and land development operations, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and the legal team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support commercial lending activities
- Review and manage contracts (vendor and procurement)
- Handle residential real estate matters
- Manage DocuSign execution and shared inbox inquiries
- Contribute to workflow automation and corporate systems (MS Dynamics & Power BI)
Experience & Education:
- 6+ years of progressive paralegal experience; 2+ years in real estate or commercial transactions preferred
- Experience in in-house legal teams is considered an asset
- Degree in Legal, Paralegal Studies or Business Administration
- Exposure to either residential or commercial real estate is sufficient; the other area can be learned on the job
