Medcor Canada is currently looking for a Nurse Practitioner to work in their employer based clinic setting in Kitimat, British Columbia. This is project is fly in/fly out. The work environment is in a Clinic Facility focusing on Occupational and Primary Health Care. The hours for this position are 12 hour day shifts.

The NP will provide workplace injury and illness care, urgent care, and emergency response in a construction environment. In addition, this position will provide support to the safety department and Project Management. It will require time interacting with the client and sub-contractors.

The clinic provides a broad scope of services including the diagnosis and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses, urgent care for non-work related conditions, surveillance and regulatory exams, and preventive services.

A typical day in the life of a Medcor Canada Provider:

  • Provide superior clinical care and customer service to Medcor Canada's client and employees
  • Treat injuries and illnesses following Evidence Based Medicine standards
  • Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety and environmental practices
  • Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinical issues
  • Support client's wellness and preventative programs
  • Document and manage information using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools

You Must

  • Have a valid unrestricted BCCNP license
  • Have current ACLS, ITLS, BLS & OFA III certifications
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality, and be a collaborative team player
  • Be willing to go above and beyond to give excellent customer service
  • Have occupational health experience

You Should

  • Be comfortable working in an on-site clinic environment
  • Be comfortable and productive working with computers and EMR software
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills – with patients, clients and colleagues
