ABOUT THE ROLE

Under the direct supervision of the Manager – Regional Surgical Services, the Advanced Care Practitioner is responsible for providing leadership and an advanced level of clinical practice. Key responsibilities include providing education to all stakeholders; facilitating interdisciplinary processes across the organization and working collaboratively with clients, surgeons, managers, administration and, potentially, outside funders.

This posting is for a newly created position within the organization.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:

  • Current registration with The College of Physiotherapy of Ontario (CPO)
  • A minimum of five years' experience in orthopaedics
  • Completion of a prescribed training period with clear learning objectives and demonstrated outcomes

Skills/Abilities:

  • A demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice and ongoing professional development
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a clinical practice in a health care setting

  • Ability to use independent judgment and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information
